The caricature, by illustrator David Stone Martin, first appeared on the cover of Vogue 10-inch LP LDE 080 in 1954 for Jelly Roll’s General recordings. [27]

The tunes included: Mamie’s Blues, Original Rags, The Naked Dance, Michigan Water Blues, The Crave, Buddy Bolden’s Blues, Mister Joe, Winin’ Boy Blues, King Porter Stomp, and Don’t You Leave Me Here.
