Alhambra Theater Box Office and Entrance
334 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Milwaukee Journal printed a stunning pictorial advertisement on Friday, 19th August 1927, page 19, for “Jelly Roll” Morton and his Red Hot Peppers, who were booked by the Music Corporation of America for a one week engagement at the prestigious Alhambra Theater.

Coinciding with Charles Lindbergh’s triumphal parade in the city, the opening of Morton’s show, complete with dancers and female vocalist, commenced Saturday, 20th August 1927, along with the movie “The Lone Eagle.” [MCA]
